FANCY AN APÉRITIF?

French-born  chef David Bitton, still operates Cafe Bitton in Alexandria and manufactures a range of top-drawer condiments that sell worldwide. Now he stars in partnership with Eli Griblas, founder of L'otel and Tabou, and sommelier Charles Leong, ex Est at this newly-beautiful upmarket Kings Cross wine bar. It’s a red sliver of a place and the elegantly casual food arrives mainly tapas-sized to suit Aperitif’s slogan 'the art of sharing'.

Apéritif  has the ideal combo of lovely food in lovely surroundings. Degustation-by-the-piece works well with European-only wines matched to each course. Driving home? Relax. Wines come by the glass and half-glass.
